Simanta Journal of Health Studies publishes advancements across all fields of health research, aiming to enhance our understanding of disease causation, develop effective interventions, and promote prevention strategies at both community and individual levels. As the only English-language journal focusing on public health-related issues in its region, it provides a unique platform for interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing among health professionals.

Led by Ngakan Putu Anom Harjana, Simanta Journal of Health Studies welcomes submissions from diverse health disciplines, including public health, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and allied health sciences. The journal seeks contributions that address population health, disease prevention, and health promotion for all members of society. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Aging and health
  • Child health and development
  • Health systems and policy
  • Environmental and occupational health
  • Infectious disease prevention and control
  • Disaster preparedness and response
  • Digital health and technology
  • Non-communicable diseases
  • Public mental health
  • Health economics and financing
  • Nutrition and food security
  • Substance use and addiction

The journal aligns with global priorities, particularly the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), notably SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being. It seeks manuscripts that contribute to addressing pressing global health challenges, enhancing preparedness, and developing effective mitigation strategies.

Manuscripts focusing solely on clinical trials, bibliometric analyses, predictive models, or cross-sectional studies with limited public health relevance are typically not suitable unless they explicitly demonstrate applications for public health practice or policy. Systematic reviews must follow PRISMA guidelines and include actionable public health conclusions.

Simanta Journal of Health Studies is committed to open access and the dissemination of scientific knowledge to researchers, practitioners, and the public, fostering innovation and impactful developments in health sciences.
