Archiving Policy

Simanta Journal of Health Studies is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published articles. Our archiving policy aligns with best practices to safeguard scholarly content for future generations. 

 

  1. Digital Preservation

All articles published in Simanta Journal of Health Studies are preserved digitally through the following methods: 

  1. Institutional Repositories

The journal allows authors to deposit their published articles in institutional and subject-specific repositories. This policy ensures that articles remain accessible through multiple platforms. 

  1. Third-Party Archiving Services

The journal partners with recognized digital preservation services, including: 

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): Ensures decentralized preservation across multiple libraries.
  • CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS): Provides a trusted digital archive for long-term access.
  1. Publisher Archiving

All articles are securely archived on the journal's website, supported by reliable hosting services to prevent data loss. 

 

  1. Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are encouraged to self-archive their work in institutional or public repositories, in compliance with the journal's open-access policy: 

  • Preprints: Authors may archive the preprint version (prior to peer review) on any platform.
  • Postprints (Accepted Manuscripts): Authors may archive the accepted version in repositories, provided a citation to the final published version is included.
  • Published Version: Authors may share the final published version under the journal's Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).

 

  1. Permanent Article Identifiers

Each published article is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI), ensuring it can be reliably located and cited. 

 

  1. Indexing and Discovery

Published articles are indexed in major scholarly databases to enhance discoverability and citation potential. 

 

  1. Backup and Disaster Recovery

The journal’s platform is regularly backed up to secure servers to prevent data loss in the event of system failures or disasters.
